Cheque Distribution Ceremony for Resettlement Compensation

Event Update from Lot-2 site office, Bage-e-Jinnah! 

TransKarachi expresses gratitude for the support of displaced persons (DPs) and commits to putting forth every possible effort to enhance their livelihoods.

A total of 75 cheques have been distributed to individuals impacted by the KBRT Red Line project, including 28 handed out at the event by CEO, Mr. Tufail Ahmed Palijo. During the event he introduced opportunities for DPs and their family members to engage in vocational skills development. Expressing gratitude for DP support, he highlighted the collaborative effort with the Government of Sindh.

GM Planning & Infrastructure, Mr. Pir Sajjad Sarhandi, assures maximum efforts for DP livelihood improvement. He encourages DPs to work together, identify those who haven’t registered for compensation, and report any concerns through the established GRM system.

Director Environment & Social, Mr. Attaullah, addresses the need for DP cooperation in identifying absent registrants among the approximately 868 total.
