About the Role:
Deputy Project Manager – Civil Works will be responsible for overseeing civil works activities for the Karachi Bus Rapid Transit (KBRT) project. The role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of construction to ensure effective consultant and contractor performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from an HEC Recognized University.
Experience:
At least 8 years of relevant experience, including 4 years of proven experience in the public or private sector, is highly desirable. Experience in donor-funded and multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects will be considered an added advantage. Demonstrated experience in coordinating with various public and private sector departments, along with strong project management exposure, is highly desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience in projects jointly funded by the Government and multilateral development partners such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, or other similar institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate all civil construction activities for the Karachi BRT project.
- Supervise consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure that all works are completed within the approved timeframe and budget.
- Track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project progress, cost control, quality, and safety.
